Wave Learning Studio is a learning and development consultancy registered in Cebu, Philippines.

1.1 Acceptance
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1.2 What this website is
This website is an information and marketing resource describing our services. Nothing on it constitutes a binding offer, a quotation, or professional advice on which you should rely without engaging us. Any engagement between us is governed by a separate signed proposal, statement of work, or services agreement, which prevails over anything stated here in the event of a conflict.
1.3 Permitted use
You may view, download, and print material from this site for your own internal reference or evaluation purposes. You may not:
reproduce, republish, or redistribute our content commercially without our written permission;
systematically extract, scrape, or harvest content from the site;
use the site in a way that interferes with its operation or the access of other users;

Portfolio examples and case studies are published either with client permission or in anonymised form. Client names, logos, and trademarks shown on this site remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
Ownership of materials produced for a client under an engagement is governed by that engagement's agreement, not by this page.
1.5 Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party sites, platforms, or tools. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. A link does not imply endorsement.
1.6 Availability and accuracy

1.7 Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
1.8 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from your use of this website shall be brought before the appropriate courts of Cebu City, Philippines.
2. Privacy Policy
Wave Learning Studio is the Personal Information Controller for personal data collected through this website. We process personal data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission.
2.1 What we collect
Information you give us. When you complete a contact or enquiry form, subscribe to updates, book a call, register for a webinar, or email us directly, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, organisation, job title, and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we may collect your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time spent on the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies — see Section 3.
Information from our tools. If you interact with us through third-party platforms we use — for example our email or scheduling tools — we receive the information those platforms pass to us, such as whether you opened an email or attended a session.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (as defined under the Data Privacy Act) through this website. Please do not include health information, government ID numbers, or similar details in enquiry forms.
2.2 Why we process it, and on what basis

2.3 Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
Service providers who process data on our behalf — for example website hosting, email, scheduling, analytics, CRM, cloud storage, and payment processors. These providers act on our instructions under written agreements.
Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary.
Authorities, where disclosure is required by law or lawful order.
A current list of the processors we use is available on request.
2.4 International transfers
Our principals and some of our service providers operate outside the Philippines, and personal data may be stored or accessed in other jurisdictions. Where this happens, we remain accountable for the data under the Data Privacy Act and take reasonable steps to ensure a comparable level of protection, including contractual safeguards with our providers.
2.5 How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: up to [24] months from last contact.
Client and engagement records: for the duration of the engagement and [10] years afterwards, consistent with Philippine tax and commercial record-keeping requirements.
Marketing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression record so we do not contact you again.
Website analytics: as set out in Section 3.
2.6 Security
We apply organisational, physical, and technical measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption in transit, restricted device access, and confidentiality obligations for everyone on our team. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs that poses a real risk of serious harm, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and affected individuals as required under the Data Privacy Act.
2.7 Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
be informed about how your personal data is processed;
access the personal data we hold about you;
have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
object to processing, including for direct marketing;
have your data erased or blocked in the circumstances the law allows;
obtain a copy of your data in a portable electronic format;
be indemnified for damages arising from inaccurate, false, or unlawfully obtained data; and
lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or a comparable law applies to our processing of your data, we will honour the equivalent rights available to you under that law, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
2.9 Children
This website is directed at organisations and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where we deliver programmes involving learners under 18, data handling is governed by a separate agreement with the commissioning institution, including any parental or guardian consent required.

4. How We Use AI
We use generative AI tools as part of our design and production process — for example in drafting, research synthesis, and content generation. Our practice is as follows:
A qualified instructional designer reviews and is accountable for every deliverable we release. AI output is never passed to a client unreviewed.
We do not upload client confidential material, personal data of learners, or proprietary content into public or consumer AI tools.
Where a client requires it, we will disclose the specific tools used and can work within restrictions the client sets, including AI-free delivery.
Any content on this website generated with AI assistance has been reviewed and edited by us, and we take responsibility for it.
Detailed AI use and safeguards terms form part of our services agreement and are provided to clients before an engagement begins.

We may update this page from time to time. The version in force is the one published here, with the effective date shown at the top. Material changes to how we handle personal data will be communicated directly where we hold your contact details.
